Ballet / Tap | Ballet promotes physical strength, agility and posture, it can boost concentration, develops an understanding of music and rhythm and generates a love of movement. Tap dance promotes rhythmic creativity, after learning the basic steps, tap dancers find their own rhythms, developing co-ordination and balance. These classes follow the Associated Board of Dance regulations. As a fully qualified ABD examiner, Miss Sinéad encourages pupils to take annual grade exams in these subjects. | Tuesday: 4.00pm - 5.00pm |
Commercial / Lyrical Dance | Commercial - This style of dance is found in concerts, live shows, music video’s, movies and commercials. It combines different styles of dance to compliment the soundtrack used. Lyrical - Lyrical dance blends ballet and jazz dance styles, conveying emotion through movement. | Tuesday: 5.00pm - 6.00pm |
Singing | This hour long class is kept to a limited number to allow individual tuition. Starting with vocal excercises, pupils learn songs from musicals, popular charts and classics. | Tuesday: 6.00pm - 7.00pm |
